About the College
Education serves as the foundation for each individual's progress by awakening young minds, strengthening character, and offering opportunities for lucrative careers, while advocating for equality, particularly for women. Under the inspiring leadership of Dr. S. Ayyaduraipandiyar, Chairman of the AVK Group of Institutions, the A. Venkatesh Kumar Memorial Trust established AVK Arts and Science Women's College in 2025 to promote higher education for women.
The institution serves as a beacon of empowerment, offering quality higher education and transformative opportunities to young women, particularly those from rural areas of Sankarankovil in Tenkasi District. The Chairman's commitment to educational advancement began with the establishment of AVK International Residential School in 2011.
One of the distinctive qualities of AVK College is its magnificent campus, which spans 15 acres in Sankarankovil, Tenkasi District. The college's philosophy of harmony between nature and education is evident across the campus. AVK College is a brilliant illustration of how social responsibility, visionary leadership, and top-notch instruction can all work together to transform lives.

Our History
A Legacy of Excellence Since 2010
AVK Arts and Science Women's College was established in 2025 with a vision to provide quality education to women, especially from rural areas. Founded under the A. Venkatesh Kumar Memorial Trust, our institution aims to empower women through holistic education that combines academic excellence with character development.
The college started with a handful of undergraduate programs and has grown steadily, expanding its academic offerings and infrastructure while maintaining a focus on personalized attention and quality instruction.

A. Venkatesh Kumar Memorial Trust
The A. Venkatesh Kumar Memorial Trust was established to honor the memory and vision of A. Venkatesh Kumar, a passionate advocate for education and social development. The Trust is dedicated to advancing educational opportunities, particularly for women from underprivileged backgrounds.
Under the leadership of Mrs. A. Allirani Ayyaduraipandiyar, the Trust established AVK Arts and Science Women's College as its flagship educational institution.
The Trust's mission aligns with the college's vision of creating a more equitable society through education, empowerment, and social responsibility.
